The same is true for eight other teams, multiple of which have two losses. The Broncos have lost four of their last road games versus AFC opponents so take the Browns and count on them to cover the spread at home. Cincinnati themselves go into this clash under pressure after winning just two games this season and another loss would make their task of returning to the playoffs extremely difficult.

The Steelers (4-2) have been a model of inconsistency picking up solid wins over Baltimore and previously unbeaten Kansas City last week, then losing games to Chicago and Jacksonville. Last week, the Steelers defense limited NFL leading rusher Kareem Hunt to just 21 yards on nine attempts in a victory over the Chiefs. Pittsburgh’s Killer B’s – QB Ben Roethlisberger, RB Le’Veon Bell, and WR Antonio Brown – have been solid so far this season.

It explains why the Buccaneers are co-favourites in our Super Bowl LVI market but the NFL season is a gruelling time and Tampa won’t be able to keep up this pace all year. New coach Robert Salah can at least use this move to try and motivate his side to keep pushing for a few more weeks before officially turning the page to 2022. Admittedly he did not have to go out and be a hero, only throwing for 199 yards but most importantly, avoided a crucial mistake while handing the ball off to third string running back D’Ernest Johnson. Injuries are an unfortunate part of any NFL season and seven weeks in, we are learning just how important roster depth can be. The New Orleans Saints come in 3-2 while the Seattle Seahawks are now without Chris Carson and Russell Wilson. They are a game out of a potential playoff spot and the season is getting late rather quickly.
The game was one of many that featured New England’s Tom Brady against Denver’s Peyton Manning. Times have changed and while Brady is still reference looking sharp for the Patriots, Denver has a first-year starter in Trevor Siemian. The Redskins scored a much-needed win over NFC East rival Philadelphia.

But either way, some extra rest and relaxation is good for any team that’s feeling a bit battered and bruised. Especially after the past two games against Cleveland and Baltimore, you just know the running backs, lineman, and linebackers are begging for some time off. The Chargers begin a much-needed bye week today in hopes of coming out the other side with four returning starters.

For the season, Rodgers has thrown for 2,283 yards and 13 touchdowns. Brady has similar numbers – 2,200 passing yards, 16 touchdowns. Green Bay has improved over the past few years in the run game but still leaves much to be desired.

The Saints have beaten the Steelers in three of the last four meetings between the two teams. That includes the last two games played in New Orleans (2010 & 2002). Each of those last four meetings has been decided by 10 points or less. They lead the NFL in rush defense allowing just 77.6 yards on the ground per game. Pittsburgh checks in at No. 6 against the run (96.9 yards per game) and gives up 22.6 points per game. The Eagles have won the past three straight against Washington.
Baltimore forced five Green Bay turnovers last week en route to a 23-0 win over the Packers. The Ravens won despite gaining just 219 yards of total offense. Baltimore has the absolute worst passing attack – 165.2 yards per game – in the NFL, but when you play defense like the Ravens you have a chance.
If there is a better defense in the league, it would be the Seahawks. Seattle is third in scoring defense (15.6) and beat the league’s best offense last week. Denver quarterback Trevor Siemian continues to play more like a seasoned veteran than a first year starter and the Broncos defense is simply outstanding. They are sixth in the league in scoring defense (16.7 points per game) and have yet to give up more than 23 points in a single game (and that was to the NFL’s No. 1 offense, Atlanta). Atlanta needs running back Devonta Freeman to be at full strength on Sunday as Tevin Coleman will be out.
